A quick tip regarding downloading of rapidshare files

If you use a download manager and drag and drop or copy the url into the program, take note of the link’s extension, if it ends with .htm or .html Sometimes the download manager will only download the webpage itself, but not the file.

This link, for some download managers, will download the html (the page the file is located at), but not the file itself. And then the html file that the download manager downloads is sometimes renamed as a small .rar file. Unrar that and you’ll get the appropriate error.

So, the moral of this story is, when you post a Rapidshare URL, remove the server-include as well as the .htm/.html extension. People will be less frustrated with your posts.
